Day 8. Nerve (2016). Directed by Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman.

Nerve (2016) Score: 67%

My thoughts before watching Nerve were not enthusiastic ones. It seemed like typically throwaway entertainment aimed squarely at teens, which would profess to have an ‘edge’ but would ultimately disappoint. While it’s riddled with plot holes, there are many unfathomably tense moments – such as the 60mph bike ride through city streets blindfolded.

Nerve is a superb hyperbole that forces you to realise how crazy the internet community can be. But, be it intentional or not, and perhaps this means I’m a victim of spending too much time online, Nerve also looks like it’d be huge fun if it were real.
