Ted 2 (2015) score: 63%
Ted 2’s comedy feels somewhat different than Ted 1‘s. It’s still infused with the same style of naughty faux-crassness that you either love or hate but the tone is more cartoonish and the story more episodic. It feels more in line with Family Guy and American Dad than the first Ted, which either means that Seth MacFarlane is getting more comfortable with live-action filmmaking or his well of creativity is nearly empty.
It’s a little overconfident, so the punchlines have a lower hit rate than before, but Mark Wahlberg’s relationship with his foul-mouthed, sex-mad teddy bear is still easy watching.
