Alien 3 (1992) score: 55%
There’s a reason I put off watching Alien 3.
Despite a predominantly brilliant British cast, including a young Charles Dance and a criminally underused Pete Postlethwaite, there’s no heart in this entry. David Fincher has struck the film from his record because of the obstructive studio interference he experienced, and its clear to see it in the finished product. It’s dull, the stakes aren’t as high, the dialogue is plain laughable, the effects aren’t as polished, the jump-scares are predictable, the Alien itself is rubbish, and the editing is erratic.
