Day 69. Run Fatboy Run (2007). Directed by David Schwimmer

Run Fatboy Run (2007) score: 63%

I’ve a great fondness for Run Fatboy Run, though I can easily see why most people would consider it distinctly average. Many of the laughs aren’t entirely original or complicated, many of its characters are crudely drawn and unconvincing, and many of the best moments belong to somebody we too rarely see (Dylan Moran basically doing a riff on his own Bernard Black creation from Black Books). But it’s a charmingly British film despite its story’s American origins (and American director), and while the characters are indeed crudely drawn, the perfect casting means that that’s very hard to care about.
